Queensland Academy of Sport
The Queensland Academy of Sport is partnering with 8 Paralympic National Sport Organisations in one of the world’s largest Para-Sport talent identification programs.
Our Paralympic sport Come-And-Try days are focussed on giving you the opportunity to try any or all of our Paralympic sports that you may be interested in. Along with trying the sports, you will be able to meet and chat with some of Australia’s world-class Paralympic coaches and get a provisional classification.
We will be holding a number of YouFor2032 Paralympic Come-And-Try days throughout the second half of 2023, starting in June/July. If you are interested in trying any of our Paralympic sports, please email us at YouFor2032@dtis.qld.gov.au with your name, age, city and impairment. We will then notify you when applications are open for 2023.
Please note that each sport and event has specific impairment requirements and eligibility criteria. Unfortunately, that means that not everyone will ultimately be eligible to compete in every sport and some athletes may not be eligible for the YouFor2032 program. This will be discussed at the YouFor2032 Come-And-Try days in more detail, and all participants are welcome to try each sport initially, regardless of their classification.
For more information about Paralympic classification and sport eligibility criteria, please visit the Paralympics Australia website.
