Queensland Academy of Sport
The Queensland Academy of Sport is partnering with 15 Olympic National Sporting Organisations in one of the world’s largest multi-sport talent identification programs.
Our talent search days are intended to test your general athleticism to match you with the sport/s in which you have a high potential to succeed at the highest level. Our friendly, professional team of dedicated sport scientists will put you through your paces to gauge your strength, speed, stamina, power and mental toughness.
Remember, each of our partner sports are looking for different attributes, so you don’t need to be the best in every test. Each sport also has different ages of peak performance – that is, the age at which athletes tend to have the most success. If you’re within our testing age range (13-23), that means that there is a sport that is specifically looking for your age group. Just as some sports are ‘early specialisation’ (such as those included in our Daredevils search), others are seeking more mature athletes.
Testing has concluded for 2023. Information about our 2024 Talent Search will be available late 2023.
Tested in 2023? Selection notifications are due by the end of August 2023.
Testing information
Applicants can register for a single session to be considered for all of our Olympic sports. For more information on each sport and what they are looking for, visit the sports page. Every sport will consider every athlete who indicates their interest in that sport during the online application.
Apply online and tell us about yourself, your sporting background and which sport/s you’re keen to try or progress.
Applications for 2023 are closed. Information about the 2024 Talent Search will be available late 2023.
